Reviews:
"My family brought this camping lantern with us on our last camping trip near Moab, Utah. It offered us an excellent amount of light to cook by and even play cards by – we just used the bail handle to hang it from a branch above our picnic table. And one of the best aspects of it was that we could turn it on or off (and even turn on or off the built-in nightlight) from the comfort of our sleeping bags by using the remote.
We did find, however, that the light lasts for twice as long (about 30 hours instead of just 15) if left on the low setting rather than the high setting. The only main drawback of this lantern is that it takes 8 D size alkaline batteries which can get pretty pricey. Of course, if you are only using the light when camping, you will not have to change the batteries too often."

"My family and I love both this Retro Remote Control Family-Size Lantern and the Northstar Electronic Ignition Propane lantern, both by Coleman. My grandparents used Coleman lanterns, as did my parents, so I guess that I’m just continuing the tradition!"

"We have bought many Coleman products in the past and have come to find that Coleman is most definitely a name that we can trust. The same is true of this remote control and very bright lamp. While it is not convenient for backpacking, it is perfect for car camping. It is so easy to use, too. It is bright enough for everything we need light for."
