Reviews:
"It is fairly quiet, doesn’t have flare-ups, and works fine in cold weather (I even took it snow camping). A metal guard protects the globe.
To light it, you need to make sure that you have matches, otherwise you are out of luck. With a match, though, it is easy to light. Watch out – if the lantern has been lit for a while, the hanging chain can get very hot.
I highly recommend this camping light."

"This lantern is definitely compact. I can easily fit it into my pack for my backpacking trips. It provides me with all the light that I need to cook and set up or clean up camp at night. I even use it to read by and play cards by. An all-around good light that has served me well on many trips."
